NEW REPORT FINDS THAT ONE IN EVERY FIVE ELEMENTARY STUDENTS IS CHRONICALLY ABSENT
Last year, more than 90,000 children in grades K through 5 missed at least one month of school, totaling one-fifth of all elementary students. In high poverty neighborhoods, this number approached one-third of primary grade students. “Strengthening Schools by Strengthening Families" looks into the causes of the problem and possible solutions.
